Günlük hayatta kaybetmek istemeyeceğiniz, sürekli yanınızda olmasını istediğiniz eşyalarınızı ne yaparsınız? Cevap basit; tabii ki cebinize koyarsınız!

Peki ya sanal ortamda kaybetmek istemediğiniz bir yazı veya herhangi bir döküman görünce ne yapardınız? Sık Kullanılanlar’a eklerim diyenleri duyar gibiyim :) Kaydettikleriniz bir süre sonra tam bir karmaşa halini alınca pişman olduğunuzun farkındayım. İşte bu noktada Pocket* adı verilen bu uygulama devreye giriyor.  

Pocket, veya eski ismiyle ReadItLater, internette dolanırken denk geldiğiniz ve daha sonra okuyup incelemek istediğiniz hemen her türlü dökümanı ve yazıyı kaydetmenize yarayan bir uygulamadır. İster yolda ister okulda veya işte olun, her an rahatlıkla kullanabileceğiniz bir yapısı olan Pocket, kullanıcılarına birçok imkanı da beraberinde getiriyor. Özellikle dışarıdaysanız ve internet pakedinizin limiti sizi sınırlandırıyorsa, tek yapmanız gereken gördüğünüz linki bu uygulamaya kaydetmek. Onu da yine birden çok yolla yapabiliyorsunuz. Mobil cihazlardaki birçok uygulama ile simultane çalışabilen Pocket’a tek bir buton ile kayıt işlemini gerçekleştirebiliyorsunuz. Bilgisayarlar için de aynı şekilde tarayıcınıza ekleyebileceğiniz eklenti sayesinde o an bulunduğunuz sayfayı ekleyebilirsiniz. Buna alternatif olarak, add@getpocket.com adresine ilgili adres linkini mail atmanız da yeterli. Yolladığınız link otomatik olarak kayıtlı olduğunuz hesaba eklenmekte ve daha sonra okumanız için hazır duruma geçmektedir.

Birçok uygulama ile aynı anda çalışabildiğinden bahsettik. Peki ya cihazlar? Pocket, çok sayıda farklı cihazdan aynı anda erişebileceğiniz uygulamalardan birisi. Birden çok akıllı cihaz ile senkronize çalışabilmesi bu uygulamayı oldukça popüler yapan özelliklerden. Üstelik sadece senkronize çalışmakla kalmayıp, bunun üstesinden hakkıyla gelen bir uygulama. Nasıl diyecekseniz şu şekilde açıklayabiliriz: Bilgisayarlarımızda veya akıllı telefonlarımızda açtığımız her sayfa, okuduğumuz her metin veya gördüğümüz her resim o cihazın ön belleğinde(cache) bir yer kaplar. Buna cookie yani çerez adı verilir. Bu -istemediğimiz- artıkları zaman zaman temizlemezsek cihazda yavaşlama başlar ve çalışmamız için harcadığımız zaman verimsiz geçer. Pocket sayesinde, herhangi bir sayfayı açmadan dahi kaydedebilme şansımız var. Böylelikle o sayfada yer alan gereksiz reklamlar, başlıklar, resimler vs. işin içine girmeden rahatlıkla sadece istediğimiz içeriğe ulaşabiliyoruz. Bu da ekstra band genişliği kullanmamızı önlemiş oluyor. Yani cihazımız sayfaları daha hızlı açtığı gibi diğer işlerimiz için de daha fazla yer kalmış oluyor. Ayrıca bu özellik sayesinde batarya ömründen de fazla harcamamış oluyoruz -ki bu hepimizin isteyeceği kullanıcı-dostu bir yön.

Biraz da tasarımı ele alırsak şunu diyebiliriz ki; Pocket gerçekten kullanıcılarının dilinden anlıyor. Kullanışlı ve basit yapısı sayesinde kaydettiğiniz içeriklere rahatlıkla erişebiliyorsunuz. Bu pratikliğini biraz da etiketleme ve kategorileştirme özelliklerine borçlu. Uygulama aynı zamanda gece-gündüz okumalarında göz yorgunluğunu gidermek amacıyla farklı arkaplan seçenekleri de sunmakta. Böylece incelemek istediğiniz içeriği çok rahat bir şekilde okumanız için ortada herhangi bir engel kalmıyor.

Dünya çapında 12 milyon kullanıcı sayısı ve 1 milyar kaydedilmiş içerikle birlikte Pocket, her geçen gün popülerliğini arttıran uygulamalardan birisi.

Yet another update of my current living. Hi, after a long period. Hope everything is ok wherever you are.

I would love to keep writing all the time on this blog. But I couldn't find enough time for it this summer. It sounds odd, right? I know. I couldn't, that's because I was confused a little about using a spesific blog service. There are pretty good blog platforms, like this one, Google's. For instance, Wordpress is another great blogging service. Almost everyone in the sector knows it. I decided to turn my personal web blog into a professional blog. So I think the best platform is Wordpress nowadays. I like Blogger, however it cannot give us more features but just writing. I mean of course it has lots of good features, but what about the design? It's one of the major disadvantages. I will keep using and writing on Blogger anyway. I like its own way.

Triangle Calculator with Multiple Functions

The C++ program that calculate the hypotenuse, the area and the perimeter of a right triangle. Actually, I wrote this code few months ago but totally forgot to post it here. Luckily it came across to me while checking the other cpp files. I've fixed some major problems inside the code, and changed something unclear. Plus, I added a do-while loop for continuity. It doesn't look very bad now.

Network Technology

Greetings people of Earth! I have presented a presentation about software & hardware of network technology from its birth to now with my four-member group. We have showed up in the largest auditorium of the university. It took about twenty minutes. We have profited by using some great references/resources which are listed below.

Greetings, after a really long break time! This is the first time I'm using GooglePlus's post connection option. Actually I like it. But I can't redesign it with the html codes. Because it includes some sort of JavaScript library. So I haven't known JS very well yet. Maybe I could change some properties, like widelength of the shared-post. It would be much better anyway.

What did I do during this quiet period?

Most of my time was wasted by dealing with such the university stuff, midterms, studying, studying and so on. I don't regret it at all. But I should have spent enough time to develop this personal blog. After the most occupied session, I took a look at a few code editors, such as Webstorm(from JetBrains). Truth be told, I really like it. It has very speacial features, like its design or development environment. However, if we compare it with Brackets(brackets.io), that's not very dynamic. Of course it's my humble opinion. Some people can think of the opposite side for sure. Brackets is still my favourite IDE till now. Especially its live preview feature is absolutely amazing! In the market, there are few editors too which contain the same feature. For instance, Atom editor(atom.io) is capable of doing the exact operation. But unfortunately, it's on just Macbooks for now. And I do not use Mac OS. So I have to wait until it released to Windows.

Hi there! As you can see below this post, I had passed extremely two weeks in the department. I was very busy in that period, but ideas kept coming to my mind. -I don't still realize that why great ideas come to mind in the intensive times. What an awkward situation it is!- Shortly, I made a list including the topics that I'd like to do or research about.

Of course, I won't write the whole list right over here. However, maybe I will write some of them one by one. Now, I'd like to talk about the first one: Learning html and css. HTML(Hypertext Markup Language) is not a programming language. People whom I talk about this always said that it is a programming language. But it is not! It's used to create simple web site templates. Basically, tables, frames, fonts, sizes, colours or something like this. It's much more complicated for sure. I just need enough time to comprehend it. And I'll do that during the following weeks. The next one is CSS(Cascading Style Sheets). It's a style sheet language which is used for describing the look and formatting of a document written in a markup language(often html). Actually I have a little knowledge about CSS. So this introduction is enough for now. Hope I'll improve it as soon as I can.

Let's talk about what's next after html and css. I want to learn PHP in the next. At least, it would be great if I understand PHP programming logic. And maybe I'll look at Javascript a little bit. As you can see, I am pretty curious about web programming these days. 'cause I know it's one of the main parts of entrepreneurship.

Nikola Tesla and Tesla Coil

Hi there! After a little exam break, I am here again with my presentation that was presented in Technical English I lecture. We were free to pick a subject, and I wanted to talk about Nikola Tesla's life and one of his amazing inventions, the Tesla coil. The PowerPoint slide worked pretty well. Hence, the lecturer liked it, I think. Anyways, here is that.



It's not the only source that I use. Also I made profit by few videos about the Tesla coil. Here is that explanatory video that I showed to people to be figure it out.
